What's New With Dollars for Scholars?

Our chapter is always working on behalf of local students. Check out this page for an ongoing look at student, chapter and community news -- plus events and other ways you can get involved!

March 2018
Prize Calendars:   Our most recent fundraiser. This will be our fifth year of selling Calendars. All the prizes for every day in April are cash/gift cards/gift certificates donated by local businesses!

May 2015
Toll Gates:   The City of Pittsfield, Massachusetts has always been a great support to our cause. Every year (one Saturday in May) we are allowed to collect "tolls" at major intersections in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Rain or shine, our high school seniors and juniors are out in caps and gowns hoping that the community would be able to contribute to their scholarship funds. Every little penny helps!

Prize Calendars:   Our next fundraising event is approaching quickly! This will be our third year of selling Calendars, but this year has a twist! This year it is a prize calendar and not a cash calendar. All the prizes for every day in April are cash/gift cards/gift certificates donated by local businesses!

Pigskin Classic:

January 2014
Teacher's Got Talent!:   Our first year launching this fundraiser. The show was a tremendous success! Five high school teachers from PHS, THS and ST Joe were able to show us what amazing talents they had (aside from their teaching skills, of course!). We were razzled and dazzled by their fashions, musical talents and humor! Many thanks to all those who made it a great success!

April 2014
Cash Calendars:   Our next fundraising event is approaching quickly! This will be our second year of selling Cash Calendars, and we hope that it will be just as successful as last year!  During the month of April our Student Representatives and fellow Board members will be approaching everyone we know in hopes of selling the lucky numbers to the Cash Calendar drawings in May.
